Overhead Line Hardware and Fittings.
The fittings, clamps, brackets and pole-line hardware that build and maintain overhead lines from LV distribution to 400kV transmission.
From the Kinsale Road facility, IPW supplies the OHL hardware fitted across Irish, UK and European networks. Supplied to ENA TS 43-92, BS 3288 and EN ISO 1461:2022, with EN 10204 3.1 certification provided on request.
Standard lines are held in volume for next-day call-off against framework contracts. Project-specific items are procured to programme through manufacturer relationships held for decades. Supplying the tier-1 contractors delivering ESB Networks, EirGrid, NIE Networks, National Grid, SSEN Transmission and SP Energy Networks build.
Transmission & distribution cross arms, extensive range of line fittings managed from a single location.
Extensive Supply of Components.
First load of steelwork delivered to the ESB.

Wooden & Steel Pole Hardware.
The established range for distribution and lower-voltage transmission builds. For wood poles, the full through-bolted range: machine bolts, crossarms and braces, stay assemblies, pole-top brackets, D-irons and spindle fittings, with washers and fasteners to match. For steel poles and masts: attachment brackets, step bolts, earthing connections and clamped assemblies.

Composite Pole Hardware.
Fittings for composite pole construction: bands, brackets, gains and through-bolt hardware compatible with composite pole sections, supplied to the pole manufacturer’s and network operator’s fixing requirements. As composite poles enter distribution networks in Ireland and the UK, IPW supplies the associated hardware alongside the established wood pole range, through the same call-off and documentation arrangements.
Grid Gains – Composite Poles.
Curved Washers – Composite Poles.
Coach Screws – Composite Poles.
Hardware – Wooden and Steel Poles.
Distribution and transmission networks run on three pole types, and the hardware for each is different. IPW holds ranges for all three: supplied galvanized to EN ISO 1461:2022, tested to ENA TS 43-92 where applicable, and ready to install.
Suspension Hooks.
Cable Management.
Wooden Poles.
Cross Arms.
Cross arms for wood pole distribution and transmission construction, fabricated from structural steel at the Cork facility and hot dip galvanized on site to EN ISO 1461:2022. Standard ESB Networks and UK DNO patterns are held drilled and ready for call-off; non-standard arms are fabricated to drawing under EN 1090 CE Execution Class 3, with the same galvanizing and documentation on every arm. Single arms, complete arm sets with associated bolts and braces, or kitted job packs: supplied as the schedule requires.
Stay Rod Assembly.
Stay rods, stay tubes and anchor components for wood pole staying. Bow, eye and adjustable patterns are supplied threaded, fitted and hot dip galvanized to EN ISO 1461:2022, in the lengths and diameters standard across Irish and UK networks.
Complete stay assemblies can be kitted with thimbles, stay plates and associated fittings so a full stay arrives on site as one labelled pack rather than a parts list. For Irish networks, welded assemblies are produced to EN 1090, with ratchet nuts and tie heads forged and threaded items to EN standards. For UK networks, tube sections and tie heads are supplied forged to ENA TS 43-91 and customer requirements, with threaded items to EN standards.
Galvanized Washers.
Screws, Nuts & Bolts.
Kitted, Labelled, Ready to Install.
IPW supplies hardware kitted to the contractor’s schedule – assemblies grouped by pole, tower or span, labelled with the site reference the install crew needs to see.
The documentation that proves the assembly meets specification travels with the kit, not in a separate envelope. For framework contractors working to a tight install programme, kitted supply removes a category of site-day delay that loose hardware creates.
